Are you recently engaged?
Many people become engaged throughout the festive season, so once the excitement settles and the busyness of Christmas and the New Year is done and dusted, it may be time to get cracking on your wedding plans.
Now this can be a very overwhelming task. There is so much to think of!
Firstly, there are a few things that need to be discussed and sorted as a priority:-
💙 Your budget
💙 Where you will get married and where you will hold your reception.
💙 Do you want to get married in a church by a minister or priest, or do you want to get married by a celebrant? If you want to get married by a celebrant, do you want to have your ceremony and reception at the same location? You don't have to, but a lot of people do. It is important to keep in mind that many reception places can be booked up to 2 years in advance, so once you set a date, this may be right up there on your " to-do-list"
One very important thing to keep in mind, is that in order to get married in Australia, you need to fill in and lodge with your officiant, a Notice of Intended Marriage - this must be done no later than one month before your wedding takes place but can be done up to 18 months in advance. Your officiant will need to site certain documents to prove your identity as well as your place of birth and conjugal status.
Information on those who are planning to get married in Australia can be found by visiting the following :- https://www.ag.gov.au/families-and-marriage/marriage/get-married Of course your celebrant can also answer any questions you may have as well.
Then comes so many other things - ( and not necessarily in this order )
💙 Cars
💙 Photographers / Videographers
💙 Flowers
💙 Cake
💙 Clothes
💙 Bridal party
💙 DJ /Entertainment
💙 Honeymoon
💙 Bonbonnieres
